Thanks for the reply. I’m just blown away by all the red tape, all the info that’s available, the scammers out there, where to start, etc. etc. I thought quirky would be something that could at least be something that would allow me to have some type of a support group and eventually get to a product manufactured, fairly quickly. This mountain of unknowns slows a guy down…. a lot. I sure like what you have to offer though. Ever thought of doing something similar to quirky, yet allow the inventor to keep the patent? Not sure how you could make your money though. Hmmmm.

I got a bit disillusioned with Quirky as it grew in popularity. There is no
substitute for hard work. If you have a good idea, you can do it yourself.
Read One Simple Idea by Stephen Key. I can help with design, prototypes and
sell sheets. If you don’t like to sell your idea I can refer a licensing
agent to help.

Do you have any more news about quirky.com? Just wanted to see if there was any more followup on it. I’m intrigued, but hesitant to use the service. Are there any other similar services out there that allows the inventor to keep their patent and still have all of the other great features of quirky.com available?

Brian,

I thought, “this is cool”. I received an e-mail, replied and minutes later I was being interviewed.

It was good that I did not have too much time to think about it. Sometimes I just need to be in the moment and just do it.

The interview just came naturally. I am passionate about design, creativity and innovation. When I start talking theses things about it all my usually shyness (I’m INTJ for Myers-Briggs fans) melts away. After the phone call I was pumped up. It was a great experience.
